2040 hydraulic problems

After the hydraulic oil on my JD2040 gets hot I start having hydraulic control problems. I was told I have a valve problem. Is this a check valve? Do I have to separate the tractor to repair . Could It be something else? Should a novice try this kind of repair? Thanks

Unless there is a substantial moon, our farm is darker than 10 feet down a well at night. Many times I've tried to find the keyhole or the glovebox knob in the dark and had to pull out my phone - if I had it - to make with the flashy light.

Doors for RTV X900

My dealer says my X900 should be ready next week. I have been considering doors for cold weather but would like some that can be easily removed as I do not want them on the vehicle for most of the year. It seems some type of fabric doors would be the best option but zippers and velcro closures seem like they would be a hassle. I saw some from Seizmic that have frames for $900 which seems a little high.

Any advice or personal experience on doors?

As some of you know we do agricultural spraying with our X1100c. In March I started looking for a manufacturer that makes a cruise control for the Kubotas. After a lot of research I came across a company called McCruise in Australia. Due to the pandemic they have had issues getting parts but finally they arrived and they shipped out a unit. Priced at 1775.00 aud or about $1400.00 Usd it’s a pretty good investment. I’m telling you about this because it arrived today.

Kubota RTV 900 stops abruptly

When in a forward gear and coasting to a stop, my Kubota stops forward motion abruptly when I take my foot off the fuel. Almost like a lurch. I suspect my transmission linkage is too tight, leaving no free play to neutral for the machine to coast to a stop, or maybe the brakes are too tight and dragging?. .Any advice on this?. I'm a new owner of a 2006 with 560 hours on it.

I'll post a couple pics here in case anyone is ever interested in getting a Boss plow for their RTV. I just put the three skid shoes on it today.

I haven't stiffened up my front suspension and don't think I need to. No real droop when I pick it up.

I am impressed with how high it lifts.

Later on I'll take it off and see if I am still going to be able to put my receiver mounted winch back on without removing the one part of the mount bracket, but it is only a couple bolts for that piece...

Snowblower for my x1100 , looking for input

L5240 3pt won't raise

This tractor had a piled-up hydrostat that I rebuilt. Has been working greatfor the last 20 hrs.

Went to use in today and the 3pt won't raise. The control lever is moving what it should but there is no movement in the 3pt hitch. If I lift it up manually, it will stay up.

Hst, power steering, and loader works normally.

Any ideas?

2008 RTV900 leg room vs. what?

I've had my 900 for 3+/- years. Made a dump bed for it, changed to 25" ATV tires and enjoyed it with no issues other then a spark arrester slowing be down and a brake adjustment also slowing me down. New to this Forum and just learning about my RTV.

My RTV 500 has 200 hours. I was driving today in H gear on flat surface and the Rtv just coasted to a stop. The engine has same rpm but the machine wont move. It will shift too any gear but still won't move. I raised rear off ground and in N only one tire spins when I manualy turn it. In 2H The tires spin opposite when I turn them manually. Kubota RTV 900 transmission problem - hardley moves in gear!

Recently bought a RTV 900 Kubota, with about 620 hours on it, there's a problem with the transmission. You can start it up and when you go to put it in gear to drive it doesn't move. I've got it to move about 5 feet a few times forward and reverse and every once in a while it will move but most of the time it will not. The price of gas has caused my dealer to raise his cost for pickup and return of a tractor to $3 per mile. I'm 40 miles away. I hate the thought of paying $240 dollars just for hauling my tractor to and from the dealer, so I'm looking at my options and thinking of getting a trailer.

Wife and I went for another trail ride in the RTV-X1100C today. These last two torrential rains that destroyed my bush roads also destroyed all the logging roads and trails in the 40 mile radius we rode. I have never seen them this bad in the last 22 years.

On the plus side, I smiled every time it started pouring rain again and we were inside the cab, stereo and AC on, LOL
