History:
Purchased at auction, was used by a construction company.

Maintenance:
Generally, looks to have been good, all grease fittings I looked at were freshly greased. Oil & hydraulic filters had Hours & Date written on them and were close to the 1070hrs on the Operator screen.

Condition at purchase:

Just bought brand new 850 side kick but seriously thinking of chopping the top to lower the top 8 inches. So it fits in enclosed trailer and through some doorways. Any thoughts on this? My wife thinks I’m nuts.

Steering Cylinder Leak

My ‘96-era M4700DT developed a leak at the steering cylinder. The local dealer says it’s an old-style cylinder which has been previously repaired with a mix of new and old style parts …making it complicated to re-seal without buying two different seal-kits costing over $800…. Front strut busted apart

Was driving through the woods and then BANG. I stopped moving the RTV immediately. Engine sounds were normal (phew).
Shut it down and walked around. Uh Oh, one front tire is pointing 1 direction, other tire is opposite direction.



I was on a steep hill so I tied the winch to a tree and after walking back to the shop, came back with more chains and straps to the front end and chocks for all the wheels. Look on the other side of the RTV. That's damn steep.

Hi, New to this forum.
I have a New Holland TC40D tractor purchased in 2003. The original battery has finally died. My problem is finding a replacement. The original is a Deka 1024DT. That battery is no longer manufactured nor does there seem to be direct alternative. I have looked online and gone to an NH and Case dealership both with no success. I did a filter change on my X900 and had no issues prior to changing the filter. I have about 250 hours on it now. After the filter change I noticed the jumping when taking off from a stop as others have reported. I talked to the local Kubota shop and they advised draining the fluid and installing Kubota filters. load capacity of Kubota tires.

Well it is that time to put new kicks on the ole girl. Man was I shocked too see the load capacity of the Mag 440's tires. It was 1675 lbs, that ruled out many of the tires that I had been looking at. What is everyone using on their rigs? At the OEM tires rating I can't seem to find much of anything close too the load rating.

What do you do with your used UDT?

I've been just dumping it into the used oil drum but wondering if it can/should be reused somehow.
Although it's used, could it be used in an application like a log splitter or should I just keep using cheap but new hyd fluid in the splitter?
Other ideas?

I have read through all 22 pages of the all thread “kubota-rtv-900 transmission problems” which has been very informative.

The machine came to me not moving at all and the driver had said it had got stuck in gear and they had removed the selector and corrected this. I am not sure if this mistaken.

I am fairly sure the problem lies in the HST as the input shaft it connected to the engine, as the auxiliary hydraulics still work. On the output side I can see the shafts in the gearbox turn...
