Anybody switch from a haybine to mounted disk mower

Been mowing and conditioning (chevron rollers) 60 acres of mixed grasses with a NH 10' haybine for years. Wondering about changing to a three point mounted disk mower without conditioning. Anybody had experience doing this?

1- Will drying time really be affected in grass if I don't condition? I ted everything now after mowing.

2- Can you go too slow so the hay is actually recut before its ejected out?

3- Have you been able to mow faster with the disk mower?

4- Mow with a JD2640 on hills now with haybine. Would a 9' disk mower require a heavier and more HP tractor?

Looking for a rake big enough to rake 2 12s mostly for silage hay.Use a John Deere 2755 to rake with,don't know much about Vermeer or John Deere rakes.Seen a milco 12 wheel rake on tractor house and says it will work for silage hay don't know would like to be able to adjust raking and Windows with

RTV 900 front tires

I was changing the front outer cv boots today when I noticed the front tires were worn a lot more than the rears. Not wanting to replace the rears because they still had 50% tread, I had a couple of 25x8x12 on hand that had similar tread left so put them on the front. It seemed to improve the steering. Had a little bit of trouble getting them inflated on the wide rims. Anyone ever used smaller tires on the front instead of the standard 25x10x12? The tires are the same height just 2 inches narrower.

RR Alfalfa Variety.

I see that Genuity has come out with a highly resistant to leaf hopper roundup ready alfalfa. Genuity works well in the Southeast....probably other better varieties for more Northerly growers. I wish they would have come out with this last year.

loud noise

I have an 1120 Kubota with 228 hours on it. I did the 200 hour check-up myself using all Kubota products. I started it one day last week and again yesterday. When it starts it is making a loud almost like chirping noise. It seems to be coming from underneath towards the passenger seat. The fluids are where they should be. Does anyone have any ideas on what would cause this noise? The noise is loud but lasts about 30 to 40 seconds and then goes away.
