What type of winch mount do you have. Pics please if you don't mind. I'm not sure of what all options there are for a tractor winch.
Do you have a winch on your tractor?
What is the reasoning behind the smooth starter roll that is now being used in the New Holland 560s? mike10 mentioned it a while back and recently I laid eyes on them myself.
Rolled for the first time this year. Made 67 rolls today and the baler did great except for one roll that only tied with one string because a knot in the twine got hung up and it did not feed. Had to get out of the tractor a few times to clear hay from in front of the belts. If I don't keep an eye out it gets bad enough to prevent the string from cutting.
The baler has had a squeal when the tailgate goes up for years. Today every time I dumped a bale and closed the gate there was a squeal for several seconds as the next roll was forming and it would just fade away. Operationally everything seemed fine but I am wondering if anyone else has ran into this noise and if it is a precursor for a problem?

Looking at a new discbine. A Krone EC2801, a NH 7320, and a JD 630. All with high stubble shoes and flails. Substantial difference in price. Would you pick the cheapest? Or is there something I don't know about one or more of the units that I should consider? Thanks. Deciding tonight.
