Recommendation for Retractable Hose Reel

mercredi 3 juin 2020

Well, my hose reel has gone to air tool heaven.  Need a new one.  Unfortunately, you can't get regular folks top 10 rated of anything any more?  All the rating/evaluation articles on everything are controlled by Bezos.  So needing a recommendation for a retractable reel for 50 feet hose.  Thanks.

Vermeer mc4500

I have a Vermeer mc4500 that I’m having trouble getting it to cut alfalfa. Sometimes it will cut fine but at times it will leave a strip of uncut alfalfa. Seems like it is almost always in the side swing away from the tractor. The field is pretty rough. I’ve tried different speeds and rpms and still can’t get it to work right. Any tips on what might make it cut better? I’m fairly new to the disc mower world. I’ve ran sickle mowers for years and so far have not been super happy with the disc mower.

New Holland BR740 won’t read bale size

Good morning, we completed some extensive maintenance in the off season. (Welded sledge roller frames, replaced all the belts, fixed a few other issues we didn’t know we had.) Anyway yesterday was it’s first day in operation and it would not read the bale size. I used manual to program sensor thinking maybe it got bumped. Bale command manual says go to step 12 and set it to read 28-32. Went I went to adjust the sensor on the right side of the baler it would only read “1”. I took it off and turned the potentiometer manually and it would read 1 then 2 then stop at 3 went turned all the way. When I unplug the sensor it pegs out at 290 something. Swapped potentiometers just in case no joy. Thinking maybe wire issue gonna check that today. Fortunately I was able to keep baling I just had to make them a little small as I was guessing on size. I appreciate any direction anyone can provide. Thank you.

Excavator seat time

mardi 2 juin 2020

Drove the excavator over the back 40 to the river this morning. 3/4 mile of seat puckering fun. I had the excavator rocking like a rocking chair more than once. Made me appreciate the skill of the operator who has done major trail improvements and fixed a huge slip on my property. He always made it look so easy an natural.

NH 650 Net Wrap issue

My NH 650 baler is bunching the net into about the center two feet of the bale, will not spread it to the sides. Rolled over 600 bale with it last year with no issues, now fresh out of the barn its doing this. Any suggestions on what to look for are greatly appreciated. Thanks

Are Vermeer mowers good for the price?

So my grandpa and I run a small hay operation in Ks and have sold our mower conditioners for a new Kubota Tractor. We're wanting to just go with a 3pt/quick attach mower. I've seriously have looked into Vermeer for all the good things I've heard about them plus built right in the U.S.. We know the hitch can be a pain sometimes but we really like how Vermeer's hook up and their system they have on the 50 series. Then also have looked into Kubota's Dm2000 series which have heard good things because they're made by vicon but I don't what to think of them. So if any of you guys out their have experience with either of these brands of mowers our have any other suggestions it would be great if I could get some help.

John Deere 275

So I recently bought a used JD 275 disc cutter. My question is putting on new blades and rotating old ones. The new blades I got from JD have a cutter on both sides, so when I rotate the blade do I flip it over or does it move to a turtle going in the oppisite direction. Looks like the cutting part of the blade will be upside down if I don't move it. I can take pictures if needed. New to disc cutter so I wanted to ask. Thanks in advance.
