Hey everyone,

this is my first post. My name is Craig and I’m from Newfoundland Canada. I recently bought 2 2011 kubota rtv 1100 projects, ended up getting them for a steal (2000$ Canadian). After about a month of playing with them I have both running and one driving. The only big parts I need to finish it is a box (which I am making after getting measurements off a friends machine) and a complete exhaust system. The dealer here wants almost 1200$ for the exhaust system and I was wondering...

Lumber prices

In my neck of the woods lumber prices have almost doubled.  BIL is doing a few repairs on the old barns for me.  He went and got a couple of treated 2 x10's last night.  Wow, what a sticker shock, they were $15-16 a piece a year ago, $30 each at today's pricing.   Glad I'm not building my other shed yet.  I don't think it would be twice as good at twice the price. 

 

Ya, this pricing was at a orange big box store if that makes a difference.

Kubota RTV 1100 hand brake stuck

We have a 2012 or 2013 Kubota RTV and it was parked in our building most of the summer with the hand brake set. Well now we are trying to drive it and it feels like the brake is still engaged. Please help me figure out how to unstick it so I can go more than 2mph and it won't pull a slight hill because the brake is stuck. I am trying to trace the cable so we can get it to release.

Buzzards

With calving season in full swing for myself, i am curious is anyone having buzzard problems (live calf attacks)? Thankfully i haven't had any successful attacks but they are surely trying. I hear neighbors and friends have lost several. My herd is small, only 40 and they are currently on a smaller 25 acre area to help with prevention. ive also got help checking on them every couple hours. has anyone attempted to access the "group" permits that Farm Bureau supposedly has for control?
