Speedometer quit

Out for a drive yesterday. Went a total of 40 mikes I’d guess. After stopping to get fuel I notice the speedometer had quit working. Both the digital speed and the odometer stopped working. Totally out of the blue.
has this happened to anyone else?
Ideas on how to fix / diagnose?

X900 Rear View Depth Perception

Over the years I have driven campers, dump trucks, and school buses so backing with mirrors is generally not a problem. However for some reason when backing the X900 with mirrors it is difficult to determine how close I am to whatever I'm backing toward. I can't decide it it is because of the short bed, the height of my mirrors, or the size of my mirrors but my depth perception seems to be impaired. (No... I haven't been using alcohol or other impairing substances)

Did the 20 hour oil change on the Sidekick: Why remove skidplate?

The OM says to remove the skid plate in their oil change procedure (page 67). There's a perfectly sized hole right under the oil drain plug, easy to get to, no need to remove the skid plate. Oil drains fine, easy two minute job (once it's up on the rack). Removing it does nothing to perform the job and all it does is add time and unnecessary work.

Rolled the rtv 900

So, I rolled the rtv. It’s a heavy beast to get back on her feet! Very minor damage. I have let it sit for a week now without trying to start. Other than checking fluids, anything else I should do before trying to start? One possible side-effect - the steering isn’t engaging now. I’m hoping it’s hydro assist and will come back?

RTV X1120 Exhaust bracket broke again

Am I the only one with this issue I wonder? We have a 2015 RTV X1120D with about 4,000 miles/976 hours on it. A few years ago, the muffler bracket that is closest to the exhaust manifold broke. No big deal, I welded it up, put it back together and was a happy camper. Lately I heard this similar tinny rattling sound, and found one of the heat shield tabs was broken. No big deal I welded it up and good to go. But.... the rattle still persisted. IT went away when I grabbed the muffler, so off...

Sportsman 500 H.O. Question

So I have two Sportsman's left. One is a 570 that I have HATED from day one. The other is my 04-1/2 500 H.O. which I loved and has been absolutely bulletproof. RTV1140 Dump bed problem..

Hello.. have a RTV x1140 with about 127 hours on it. My dump bed stopped working.. Fluid level is good, all connections are seated correctly. I can hear it engage but no movement on the bed. Dealer has a 4 week wait and I am fairly sure this is something simple. Any suggestions? Also shouldn't you be able to manually raise the bed when you float it? Can't get the bed to move at all.. Any help would be appreciated.

I finally got my RTV back from the dealer. While there fixing the linkage that slipped out of sync, I had a few other things done that by themselves were not worthy of a trip to the dealer. Left melted headlight fixed, fuel gauge replaced (it had been intermittent but turns out it was the gauge, no labor for replacing). I also had tubes put in the rear tires and I got the hand throttle yall had been talking about. Awesome.

I notice when the machine is cold the transmission is very responsive, and as it heats up it seems more sluggish. It's especially noticeable when the machine is hot and I stop in a hole or up against an steep incline and then try to start forward again - slipping and often limited to no forward movement. Shifting down from M to L and/or reversing takes care of the problem, but it must be an indicator of bigger issues.

Hi! I have a 2013 RTV 1120 that I bought that has very very low travel performance. It will only make 3 mph on the stands. It has all new filters and factory fluid. There were no chunks In fact nothing in the oil and just normal charcoal colored paste on the magnetic plug. When I asked the dealer some very technical questions I could tell they really did not know much. (3 different dealers). it feels like it is cavitating because of the shuttering. Much thanks for any help!!!

Hello, I'm messed up with a Rare form of Arthritis (Fused Spine) and can't look behind me so on my Tractor I put a Back Up Camera to Help out and it works Great! I'm going to put one on my RTV900 this Winter. I'll try to post a couple of Pic's. I guess its too Large and I can't post the 2nd one and I don't know how to resize. So will Post in another one of the Camera Mount. Excuse the Dust and Dirt but this is a Farm Not a city Lot.

Tractor won't start Original 13 year old battery died

For the first time since I bought my baby (Grand L 3010) in 2002 it would not start when I tried to use it to move the snow around.
Battery turned but to slow to fire it up. This is the original battery. I bought in April 2002, so the original battery is just two months shy of lasting 13 years.
I must say I'm impressed. I've never had a battery last that long. Ever.

I saw on previous posts about adding a electric fuel pump. I did and works great. There is a plug end taped to the rubber air intake hose that goes on and off with key. Just change out the pins, move one to the other and electric pump plugs right in. I mounted the pump on the removable side plate right next to the front of vertical brace.
