X1120 Bogged Down on Steep Climb

I was assisting a neighbor in inspection of his recently timbered land. He, his trusty pup and me were headed up a dozer path. Had zero trouble with traction and it started up the hill fine. But at the steepest incline - I'd estimate about 45 degrees at one point - I lost power and it nearly stopped. I had been at full pedal the whole way up in low gear. I let up on the pedal a little and it lurched forward.
