Where to wire in a radio

vendredi 7 avril 2017

I am installing a radio. Where should I connect for power?
There is a red wire w purple stripe coming out of the conduit bundle where all the wiring goes into the gauge cluster. From the factory that wire with a connection terminal, was taped to the outside of the conduit. It looks like it was intended for some accessory or additional electrical component. I hope it will work for the radio power. Any ideas?

Rock Picker

This post is a bit of a waste of space but I know a few of you in rocky areas would understand the excitement.

I bought a Leon 3000 reel type rock picker yesterday over the phone after having a family friend look it over. Hydraulically driven reel and not too banged up. I spent hours and hours last fall picking rocks myself with time I didn't have. Ran out of time long before the 10 acres were done and the owner of the field is getting antsy now bare spots are starting to poke through the snow.

Round Baler Inspection

jeudi 6 avril 2017

Recently, my local John Deere Dealership, sent me a flyer, about getting my round baler inspected. What I was wondering, what is all in tailed, in the inspection. Regular price, is $379.00 Cnd, but if I book it before, May 17th, they will take off, $100.00 Cnd. What is every elses opinion, on having a baler, inspected? Thanks in advance. Bruce.

Float on a Vermeer disc mower

Hello everyone,
So I've purchased a new Vermeer tm700 disc mower and have one question about its operation that is not covered in the manual.
This might be a newbie question but I know you all have the knowledge to tell me.

When mowing with the machine should the hydraulic remotes be in the "float" position to allow the machine to follow the ground or can I just lower it to the ground and let the remote "kick off" or return to its home position? The only reason I thought about asking is because sometime through the years it seems like somebody told me they run their NH discbine in the float position and I was wondering if I should do the same.

Thanks in advance,
WCBR

Seeding and fertilizing alfalfa with concord air seeder

I Gothink 40 acres of ground to put into alfalfa this spring. I want to get it worked up nice and then hit it with our concord just barely scratching, it has 10" spacing but fans seed out about 4-5 inches. I also want to throw some people and k in one tank to get that out there to, just wondering if there is any seed burn issue? Also I'm thinking of seeding it twice at 1/2 rate to make up for any uneveness... any one have experience seeding alfalfa with a concord?

kubota L2550

Bush hogging in heavy stuff yesterday and the left engine cover fell off and I ran over it with the hog. I was ducking to the right from briars and did not see it but I sure heard it. Don't think it can be straightened. Anybody ran into this problem? What to put in place of the cover, used parts?? I doubt a new one is even possible. Thanks for any suggestions.
