Hesston Knows Hay(Alfalfa) Video Series.

This is a series of 5 short videos that have an outstanding collection of mowing, raking and baling tips for Alfalfa producers. The viewpoints are for producers from the Eastern and Western U.S. so it is very good general type information. You may disagree with some thoughts or ideas(some always do regardless), but as a whole, this is about as good a informational production that I can recall. This will be especially good for our new hay growers and so I am going to pin this information. The two speakers are pretty well considered the most knowledgeable in their fields. You might want to view this videos at full screen as the quality is very good.

Regards, Mike

Vermeer 504R Model Differences?!? Signature VS Premium VS Classic

jeudi 15 février 2018

Does anyone actually know what the differences are between these three machines? I asked one dealer and his answer included that the difference was "the stuff on the outside"   I dont think even the dealers understand this lineup. Why are there 3 different 504R's? Has Vermeer created a chart of something that compares them?

I also cant find any useful information on the vermeer website directly comparing them. Each balers webpage simply talks that model up. The classic seems to be more economy minded and marketed towards hobby farmers, so I dont think I want that one.

What does the signature have that the premium doesnt? Or vise versa?

Halp

New Holland L223 booms won't move

Our NH L223 had problems today. The boom hydraulics quit working. Everything seems fine with seat belt switch . The loader will start and when we push the operate bottom to release the park brake it does and we can drive the loader, but the green flashes on the operate botton and the booms will not move.  Anyone have any ideas, I called the local New Holland dealer and they were not sure. Thanks Bob
