Possible snow on 8 inch high alfalfa, 2 foot high grass and new seeding

We are forecasted to get anywhere from 3-8 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow plus a low temp of 26 degrees. Needless to say I'm a bit worried about my first cutting and my new seeding of alfalfa. I'm worried about the snow matting down the alfalfa and grass hay. My new seeding of alfalfa is showing about 2 leaves on some parts of the field, sprouting but not up in other parts and nothing yet in other parts. Hoping it won't get to cold for that. I'm really hoping the weather forecasters are wrong and all we will get is needed rain.
