First time cutting crimson clover

I will start on 40 acres of clover next week. The question is would you condition it or just mow it? I can do either, I will bale it for horse hay, I have a BHT-2 on the baler so I will know moisture. I know I am not suppose to tedd it. If I cut with the conditioner it will lay it in windrows, Could I run the tedder right behind the mower just to fluff it. I have the hay machine2 so I can tedd my windrow and still have it in the windrow. I will have a analysis done.
