We recently planted our first alfalfa. Prior to planting, we sprayed with round up, allowed the grass to die off, chisel plowed, disked, cultipacked, and then drilled. Had a couple of rain showers and got a good stand. Along with the alfalfa, we have a stand of weeds/cool season grass. I don't think that there is enough to choke out the alfalfa, but more than I would like. My question is, does this new crop need to be sprayed this fall, or would the roundup kill it at this stage. Any suggestions are appreciated.
