How Much Tractor Ground Clearance For 4x4 Round Baling?

Thinking about adding a 2nd tractor to my fleet and want to look forward to round baling 4x4 bales vs making squares as I'm doing now in my purchase considerations. Presently I have a Massey Ferguson 50, my brother has a Ford 3000 and both of these tractors are fairly close to the ground IMHO. The tractor I buy will be something between 40 and 50 PTO hp and many models I see are similar in stance and ground clearance.



Question - how much ground clearance do I need to straddle a windrow without bunching hay up under the tractor in round baling.
