3 windrow wheel rake

jeudi 9 octobre 2014

Would like to get a wheel rake to rake three rows following a 9 ft. mower conditioner. Want one with enough of a center kicker to rake the entire middle row. Ideally would like the rake to lay the middle row directly in the center of the rake then put two outside rows right up against the center. Want a 5 to 5.5 ft. window for the round baler. Will be used on rough hilly ground with some odd shaped small fields.

Seems like the Circle C, Golden Eagle rake is the only one I have found that has enough of a center kicker to rake the entire middle row, but I would like have one that turns the row inward instead of splitting it out into the outside rows. Also looks like it might not be good on the rough uneven ground. And price is steep.

I like the design of the Kuhn SR600 rakes. Looks like the shorter tongue/wheel base when open would be good in the smaller fields, and with the gauge wheels it should handle uneven ground. The problem with the Kuhn is that the center kicker is not enough to turn/rake the entire middle row.

Are there any other rakes with center kickers that are similar to the Circle C?

Anyone have experience with the Circle C on rough ground?

Experience with the Kuhn SR600?

Anyone know of a company that could make a center kicker to add to a rake?

Thanks for all responses.
