We have got quite abit of snow this winter in East TN, that has lingered around. All the surrounding grass fields still have 3-4" of snow on them. But my alfalfa fields, and the surrounding alfalfa fields in my area have been completely melted off for the past couple days. Wonder what causes the snow to melt off the alfalfa fields faster than regular grass fields?
