New Holland preservative applicator

In 2014 I installed a New Holland automatic preservative applicator on a 5070 small square baler. In low volume hay I had trouble with the moisture sensor getting the preservative on it and reading to high. Which in turn caused it to apply more preservative, which made the problem worse. I was thinking about moving the sensor to the side to solve this problem. Anyone have this problem?
