I'm a young guy here, this will be my 3rd year of doing hay on my own. I need a new swather. I have about 70 acres of brome I'll be cutting this year. I put up mainly small squares. I rake with a NH 56 bar rake, so I don't need anything wider that a 9' cut. I'm stuck on what I should get. I've thought about a disc mower without a conditioner like a NH 616 or 617, or sticking with a sickle swather. What would you guys do? Found a NH 492 that looks to be in good shape and is field ready for $3,000.
What kind of mower would you recommend for me
