spring vs. hydraulic bale ramp

I have been a member of this forum for quite a while, but have never posted anything.

 

I am in the process of purchasing a new holland Roll Belt 560 that has a hydraulic bale ramp.  My old baler is a New Holland 688 and just had spring ramp on it & worked fine.  My question is, what are the advantages of a hydraulic bale ramp? Why would this even be an option?  I've searched the internet and even talked to sales reps & i still can't find an answer!  Thank you in advance for your replies.
