Alfalfa planting in TN

Alright I have my field worked up and smoothed up pretty well. I am considering putting in some Evermore Alfalfa from the co op. Not RR. Anyone here with experience with it. I can rent a no till or just a conventional drill to plant it? Should I add something and plant with it at this time or wait till fall to add grass to it? How bad is it to keep weeds out of it since it’s not RR?
