Trading Equipment sign of the times?

Talked to a dealer about trading a piece of eq and he wanted me to buy it at a cash price then consign my used to sit on his lot and he would sell it and collect a commission for that.Id put the price on it.

Dealer keeps his money from getting tied up in the used lot.

Hmm,I was approached years ago about a dealership start up and #1 reason I didn’t was taking in trades.
