Started out last season with a New Holland 846, I have used it for three years, thought it made a decent bale considering it was bars and chains. During spring cut I broke an upper chain and crunched for time I bought a friends John Deere 375 to finish up with. After having the bales sit all winter the NH bales still look round and decent. The John Deere bales are loose and sagging. Am I doing something wrong with ground speed or does it sound like the John Deere needs some work? I thought going to a belt baler would give me a better looking bale? I have repaired the NH over the winter and now I am at a crossroads on what to do this spring.
