Twine tied sq bale storage?

If it's a problem what steps do hay producers take to control rodent damage to twine tied sq bales. My neighbor that produces/stores/sells a lot of grass sq bales asked me.  He wants to change from wire to twine tied sq bales & was concerned about possible rodent damage to the twine.
