Bought a Vermeer R23A hay rake today/ Auction results

samedi 21 mars 2015

Sent the loving wife to a farm auction a couple of weeks ago. There was a Vermeer R23A rake there that I was interested in. It was welded in places that I have never seen one welded. Oh well. She had a good time anyway.

I opened the paper when I got home and there was a sale bill for an auction 3 hours South of us. It was today, and I convinced the wife that we should go. On the sale bill it said a "like new" R23A. We drove down there and what do you know, it was pretty close to like new. Long story short, we bought it. I will have to get a pic tomorrow in the daylight.

Of note at the sale was a 1981 JD 4440 with 1810 actual one owner hours. It went just short of 40K. I want to say 39, maybe 38500.

A diesel 1069 that was in pretty good shape went for 42,250. 3360 hours on it.

A 2200 hour 1116 NH swather went for 23500. One owner as well.

2 4655 Hesston balers that looked like they had run about a million bales each went for right at 9K each. One had had alot of maintaining, the other not so much.

1981 16 or 20 foot grain box gasser GMC truck with 13k miles went just short of 30K. One owner also.

All in all it was a good day and it was nice to see a one owner line of equipment go for good prices. 3 tractors all under 3500 hours. 4440, 4040, and a 4230 with loader.
