I am a Massey mechanic that was recently brought a165 multi power that was leaking between the pto pinion and the retainer housing. Upon inspection I found the housing was grooved. When looking up the parts the old number superseded to a new number. This new number had a manufacture note to remove the needle bearing before installation. Now to me this is pure craziness so I wanted to see if anyone else could shed a little light on this for me. Thanks!
