For those of you with Bale Bandits you may want to consider mounting a CCTV camera on the rear of your bandit to monitor bundle drop and ensure that the bundle is clear before bale 15 and the rear door closes.
I have mounted two in the banding box to monitor the crimping/sealing of the bands.
I used reversing camera kit with a 7inch screen so my old blind eyes stood a chance of seeing. The inside of the banding box is dark so I added a small 5watt led camping light. It shows up the action in the banding box in living colour and is more effective than the standard infra red cameras. (I tried with an infrared camera first).
Only one camera is really necessary in there and the reverse camera kit I got can selectively switch between two cameras so I will now mount the second camera looking out back supported by a 27 watt Led light for night use.
Just a thought because I cannot see the discharged bundle until I am some way down the field.
With these days of plug and play I will put a camera and Led on the back of my baler for the same reason.
CCTV camera, another use
