I mow, they bale. What is fair ?

This year I am a fist time hay farmer.   I do not yet have all of the equipment that I need.     I would like to mow/condition my hay and also rake it.   I need a local farmer to bale it (round bales) for me.    I would then move the bales that I would be keeping.

 

I want to ask a couple local farmers for help.   If we each keep a share of the bales,  what is a fair ratio ?        50/50,   60/40, 40/60, etc ?     I don't want to be too generous but I don't want to be a sucker either.     If somebody approached you with this offer,  what would you require ?

 

The field is about 35 acres and is long (2200 feet or so).     Most of it is an established hay field.
