Greetings ~

As a long time tree farmer, I am trying to diversify a bit, and picked up a Owattana mower/conditioner and old IH #46 baler, to get into selling small squares...

When either pulling the cord to change between the trailering position to mow/bale (or vice versa) on both implements, I have a heck of a time.  Both pivot points are clean and lubed, but dispite copious jiggling and jerking, tight turns, forward and back, I find that I usually resort to placing a cement block at one of the wheels to finally get the implement to swing and then latch.

A part of this problem is that I have limited space between trees!  Now, I am otherwise a mechanical guy, and good at physics...  Nonetheless, what is the theory, successful process for this???  Is there a 'secret'?

Thanks!

Mark
