Krone EasyCut 2801CV - 9ft cut, 2 point hook-up, gear swivel head, high shoe skid kit, wide spread baffles, quick change blades, shear hubs and newer type hook tine impellers.
Left over 2016 year model according to the dealer (been on the dealer’s lot probably for a year or more that I know of), which made for a good deal IMHO. Tried to get a JD 625, but they are scarce and priced that way too. I had the dealer price out the Krone and it was about $1,500 less than the best priced 625. So I pounced.
Much thanks to everyone that has answered my questions over the past year or so to help me make an informed decision.
Also, my beloved Hesston (which I’ve got running/cutting like a Swiss watch) will stay around and be used - especially in some rocky fields we are taking back. The Krone will get me a 9ft vs 7ft cut and 24/7 mowing abilities regardless of heavy dew or rain.
