OK, I need some help on this one. Our old baler ate itself last summer and we need a new used one. But I can't afford to buy the real expensive models. So far I got it down to
1. Vermeer 604xl $7500 clean with only 6k bales on it.
2. CaseIH 8435 $7500 that was hardly used really low bales. Maybe 2k bales
3. Vermeer 554xl $10k with 4k bales on it.
We bale 120 round bales a year. And need a 4' wide bale. But I can't find out if I can make smaller bales in the 604xl. Can that baler make smaller bales than a 6' tall? Because I want to make 6 foot tall for us and 5' tall one for sale..... Also what's everyone's views on these model options. I don't want to spend over 10k any help is appreciated especially on the 604xl question.
