I have a 3 year old stand of coastal. It was poorly sprigged and has been slow to cover. It's a 10 acre field and is sparse about 1/3 of the field. It's looking good so far this spring. The grass is close to foot tall already. We've had 10 inches of rain over the last month. Just hit it with Pastora for Johnson grass. I putting down 200lb/ac 30-10-10 tomorrow if dry enough. My question is will it grow/spread better if I don't bale for another 4-6 weeks. Or does it spread better cutting it.
