I live in north central Ohio and seeded 14 acres of alfalfa and orchard grass last fall. Didn't get it seeded until Sept 6th because we kept getting just enough rain to keep the equipment out of the field. Got lucky and had above average temperatures all fall so by winter it looked as good as any other fall seeded field I planted in the past.
Now I have a lot of brown patches throughout the field. Was wondering if it has something to do with the very warm weather we got in February (60's and 70's for about a week) followed by winter weather again in March. Is there hope that it will green up again once it gets warm enough for everything to get growing?
