I've got a 2000 566 regular pickup baler with a 4440 John Deere in front of it that start plugging yesterday. I removed one washer on the slip clutch and though I was on my way when the lower roller chain broke. The hay was in good condition and the windrows were nice and even. My PTO is good on the tractor and I was running slow at RPM speed. I have not inspected the clutch gap yet, but I am wondering if I cranked the clutch down to tight. The baler on has 2500 bales on it. Does anybody have some advice?
