Need some Straw Advice

Needing some Straw advice. I baled my first bit of straw last year. 10k squares through a MF 1835. Since I have decided to change my process and constructed a stationary processor to convert rounds to squares. My questions are #1. Buying a new roller that is compatible to roll silage and straw. 469 John Deere or 604 Vermeer? 2. What are the problems that I'm going to have getting a roll started baling behind a JD STS rotary combine?
