running gear capacity question

have some hay flat racks that are not used much anymore . was thinking to build new decks for hauling round bales and making them perhaps 24 feet long. the issue is that the capacity of the running gears is unknown . is there a way to estimate capacity based on spindle size, steel component size or maybe something else . any insight helpful
