My usual protocol for my alfalfa is to rake it in the morning right as the dew has dried and then come back around 3 and barely catch the windrow with my back the rake wheels and turn it over. Yes I do shatter a few leaves since it's not in case, but I'm ok with that the better results are worth it to me. Then I bale that night when the dew comes back on. With my Vermeer rake it works but if I don't watch real close I end up running over the edge of the windrow with my rake tires.
Does anyone still make the front mounted two or three wheel turners? If so how good do they work?
Front mounted windrow turner?
