I am currently pulling a 25+5 gooseneck with a Ram 3500 dingle wheel truck. As I sell more and more hay I'm finding myself using the rig more amd more amd well exceeding the trucks capacity. The question I pose to you all is this. I found a medium duty freightliner m2 with a 16' flatbed all rigged amd set up to pull a gooseneck. It has a CAT engine and Allison transmission. I'm concerned with the fact that with the longer bed and the ball resting over the rear axles that the front axle won't get enough weight transfered to it as it would with say a 12 foot bes. The second problem is that it comes with 19.5's which I'm am luke warm about. On the bright side for small hay orders one could ditch the trailer and just use the truck. What say you? Any opinions would be helpful.
