Dropped about 14 ac of og on Sat. Hay is way short of normal here and my experience is that it never catches up from a cold spring so better to stop the bleeding and agonizing. With a Bermuda high in May-who knew that it could happen, I decided to clear this mess off and heavily top dress with about 75# N and hope to capitalize on May and early june weather for a heavy second cutting.
Had my best year ever last year and this one is starting out as a bust. It is the thing that keeps most farmers humble and grateful for whatever they get whenever they get it. rick
