Last year I bought a new 4 basket tedder. I did not get to use it much because of drought conditions.
I noticed the tedder was leaving two slight windrows. I tried different settings with the wheels to no avail.
Krone1 asked if I was tedding drier hay or damp hay right behind the mower. We usually tedder the day after mowing. He asked me to try adjusting the tine settings to move the drier hay more behind the tedder. Smart man.
The tines have three setting options, mine was set in the middle.
We cut rye grass this past week and ran the tedder behind the mowers. The tedder did a great job. The next afternoon I decided to tedder again and got the slight windrows I had last year.
No problem. Adjusted the tines over one spot and it spread the hay as evenly as possible. Sure looked nice.
