bale bandit 200 tips?

Baled about 800 squares today, bundled off the field instead of behind baler had roughly 5-7 broken bales I think its getting cut from front pickup chain has anybody ground down the points on front chain or possibly switched to a belt and what is the best way to keep bands from cutting string . I am using 210 string and have the band tension backed off would even denser bales help or am I missing something I have the band running through the bender on front and we are using an 1840 massey
