Applying hay preservatives - tell me why this won't work

Ok, if you needed to bale and have not had time to mount a preservative applicator on the baler, why couldn't you just put the tank in the loader buck on the front of the tractor , mount a short boom with 1-2 nozzels and apply across the windrow as you are baling ?? This looks quick and easy to me, but there must be a reason everybody takes a day to build brackets, route hoses, wires mount nozzels etc.... but with the loader bucket idea you are not spraying corrosive chem on the baler. Ok I'm ready to be pounded here
