For you balage guys

Just doing some random thinking while I'm tedding hay. If a guy was making balage is at all possible to cut maybe tighten up the windrows and let dry and then bale, no raking. I realize the top would be dryer and moisture wouldn't be even top to bottom in a windrow but once you wrapped it would that moisture travel and even out for a good bale? Just thinking with the costs of machinery now days one less piece and one less pass would help the bottom line.
