Had the knives in my NH 417 small square baler sharpened at an industrial knife shop. They had a few reasonable sized dings in them and I think they have taken too much off in order to get the edge back as the stationary knife is now recessed back from the feed chamber wall a touch when its installed, the edge is just proud of the wall but I'm thinking this isnt going to work too well.
Anyone know how much can be ground off the knives before they are too short to use? Looks I'll order some new knives but would be good to know for next time.
Baler knife ground too short?
