I'm currently running a JD 347 baler and small squares is the market I'm in so round balers are out of the question. Just noticed a nice looking JD 338 (maybe 2012 vintage w/ maybe 15K bales through it) that has been used baling alfalfa. It has hydraulic bale tension unit but has been removed. I wasn't actively looking for a new baler but my old one is pretty worn (strippers are beginning to wear through) and saw this on the side of the road. Any thoughts - good or bad? Owner said they switched over to a MF inline for larger bale dimensions ....
