I have a Hesston 5510 with electric tie. The electric tie has been a pain over the last two season. The electric tie motor I’m using is cheap but I’m tired of replacing them. I want to replace the electric tie with a hydraulic cylinder. I have found a cylinder on agrisupply that has the same stroke length and will fit the current mounts on the baler. In my head it seems like I can just swap the electric tie actuator our for the hydraulic cylinder, get a hose/fitting, and be done. Before I do this I want to make sure I’m not missing something. Any input would be helpful! Thanks!
