New holland 650 baler ( Bale size problem)

My new holland 650 will not trip to tie a bale, I have to get out every time and push down on the manual lever.
I’ve tried setting it to a 3’ bale and it still doesn’t trip when it hits a 6 feet bale has anyone ever had a issue like this ?
