JD 6410 Electrical Hazard Light Problem

I have a 1998 John Deere 6410 two-wheel drive tractor. This is a great tractor and in tip top shape. My Problem is the hazard/warning lights quit working. They instantly blow a fuse every time I turn them on. Also if I attempt to use the turn signals the right hand will work but when switching to the left it instantly blows a fuse. All the bulbs and bulb sockets look good. I'm thinking the turn signal switch may be bad but cant figure out how it would connect through the hazard light switch. Have not yet taken apart the steering console yet to look at switches, but that is the next step. Any thoughts or similar issues? Thanks DC
