Shear pin NH baler

Hey y’all. We’re still without our own square baler, but today we were able to borrow a friend’s NH 565. Nice baler, but we kept shearing flywheel pins. Any idea what causes this? The hay was a little damp and was thick in places. Could that be the culprit? Is the fix simply a slower speed? Thank you.
