RTV500 Sloppy Steering

I started off with a RTV-x900 which I decided I didn't want to share haha. Since then I purchased a RTV-500 for light duty use which now has 150 hours.

I just actually spent some time riding it and the steering seems off. Almost like there is too much play and too much range of motion to get the unit to turn. Also when holding the wheel with spokes centered, the RTV veers to the right.

How do these units steer? Is there something off with my unit or am I just spoiled with the X900 power steering?
