Weather apps and local weather - what's the deal !!!

At least in south GA this hay season, the weather apps and the local news weather dept have been worthless for precept forecasts 36-48 hrs in advance. And nobody ever admits they blew it !! Just show up day after day make forecasts Smile and joke around and never acknowledge their inability to be right on any consistent basis. How does one plan field work without some amount of accuracy ?? Call this venting or blowing off , is the weather more predictable where you live and farm?? Maybe the mid west weather is easier to get right at least most of the time. So how's it been for you ??
